About AquaRadio and Your Host, Big Frank
Frank founded AquaRadio was in 2009. It was his aim to combine his love of the tropical fish hobby with his extensive background in communications. Originally launched as a scheduled broadcast via live365.com the shows are now produced and posted as podcasts for you to enjoy at your convenience.
Frank’s love of radio began in the early ’60’s while growing up in Philadelphia and listening to such “Oldies” legends like Jerry Blavat, Joe Niagara, Hy Lit, Frank X, Feller, his personal favorite, Don L. Brink and others. His own broadcasting career began at WWOG-AM in Boca Raton, FL and then WKQS-FM in Ft, Lauderdale. Frank worked for many years as a professional actor in New York and south Florida. He has performed in professional dinner theatre and summer stock productions and has an extensive resume in musical theatre, comedy and drama alike. Frank has both directed and produced professional theatre productions. He has appeared in national TV commercials and print campaigns for AT&T long distance, Sunlight dishwashing liquid, Comprehensive Tax Accounting, Fedex, J&B Scotch and many others. He was a decades-long member of Actors Equity Association (AEA) and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA) and is currently a member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG).
Frank currently lives alone, in a van, down by the river with his dog “Baby,” his cat, “Twiggy,” and some tanks of fish he keeps in the back of a neighbor’s chicken coop. They say the old man can grow a mean guppy. Should you ever have a hankerin’ for those kind of fish, click below for a look-see.
