Julie Christie
Born and raised in Maine, moved to the Philly area to work for a pharmaceutical company. After being laid off after a merger, she decided to use her newly found *spare* time into changing her successful hobby into a business, and FryBabies was born! Her original interests were mainly African cichlids, especially those from Lake Tanganyika, but through the influence of her partner Dennis, and her friends, she also got into catfish in a big way, including synos from the Lake, Corys from South America, and all types of plecos! Eventually she also started importing stingrays, and still maintains a pool of them for her own pleasure.
Although the number of imports that Julie does since she returned to work 2 years ago is greatly reduced, she is still actively breeding fish, and always is available to search out sources of fish for her devoted customers, and networks with other importers to give her customers what they are looking for at reasonable prices. She still maintains over 200 tanks, and her facilities are open for club trips, for local fish pick-ups and her yearly open-house BBQ!
